The “Kings Course” at BRG Kings Island Golf Resort in Hanoi, Vietnam, broke ground in May. The new 18-hole golf course is the first design for Nicklaus Design President Jack Nicklaus II in Vietnam. The groundbreaking also represents a further step in the relationship between Nicklaus Design Group and BRG Group.
“The Kings Course will leverage the natural beauty of the hilly terrain and surrounding bodies of lake water,” Nicklaus II said.
Once completed, BRG Kings Island Golf Resort will be comprised of 54 golf holes—and fit for a king, it has already been nicknamed “the 54 Kings Club” and “Kings 54.” This exclusive club is aiming to become the best golf destination in Vietnam and among the best in Asia.
Nicklaus Design is widely considered the world’s leading golf course design firm and BRG Golf is regarded as Vietnam’s premier golf facility developer and operator. The companies joined forces in March 2016 with a shared goal to build a solid future for golf in Vietnam, and they will work together to bring the highest international golf standards to Vietnam.
Through vitality, creativity and respect for members, BRG Group is offering tangible benefits and privileged access to premium golf while providing first-rate service. BRG Group plans to differentiate itself through unique features and services. The group will focus on details and care rather than chasing scale and discount fee players. As part of its program, BRG Golf aims to develop standards from the bottom up with junior golf by employing international golf experts and PGA professionals who will provide inclusive programs such as BRG VietGolf U16. As such, all BRG golf facilities are developed, prepared and managed by a team of top industry professionals.
BRG Group has also signed an exclusive contract to open four Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf facilities throughout Vietnam to strengthen golf development and professional skills training. The new BRG Golf Center in the Tay Ho district sits on the banks of Westlake situated on the grounds of the Victory Hotel (Thang Loi Hotel )surrounded by calming scenery and fresh breezes. The modern golf facility features 36 luxury hitting bays and a state of the art golf simulator, a well stocked retail golf equipment store, and a “ViBar” coffee roof terrace overlooking Westlake.
