The Nicklaus Black golf ball has been named to Golf Digest’s coveted 2014 Hot List, the industry-leading magazine’s ranking and rating of the best balls in the business. The Nicklaus Black, which was just introduced to the market six months ago, was among 10 manufacturers recognized in the premium category of balls priced $36 or higher per dozen. The Golf Digest Hot List, featured in the magazine’s May issue (available digitally on tablets April 8, on newsstands April 15, and online at GolfDigest.com in mid-April), awarded the Nicklaus Black a Silver designation.
The entire line of Nicklaus Golf Balls, which are available exclusively on www.nicklaus.com and in the pro shops of Nicklaus Design courses nationwide, were one of only two lines of balls recognized in Athlon Sports magazine’s Golf Annual among its “Best Golf Equipment of 2014.”
Nicklaus Black is one of three balls—Nicklaus Blue and Nicklaus White being the others—that were designed to accommodate three skill levels of player, using the traditional tees from which they typically play. Nicklaus White is designed for golfers who might typically play the forward or white tees. Nicklaus Blue is designed for golfers who would typically play the middle or blue tees. And, finally, Nicklaus Black is designed for the single-digit or better golfer who generally plays from the back or black tees.
A percentage of every dozen Nicklaus Golf Balls sold goes to support the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. In addition, for every dozen shipped via FedEx delivery services under this program, an additional $1 will be donated to St. Jude. Thanks to the support of FedEx, the Nicklaus Companies is providing purchasers of the golf balls on www.nicklaus.com shipping at no charge.
